Ann Dowdy- board member
Ann Dowdy is a native Oregonian. She earned her undergraduate degree in Nonprofit Management and Communications at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. Ann holds nonprofit management certifications from the Texas Association of Nonprofits and Austin Community College. She has worked for an art museum, two science museums, crisis center, NPR and PBS stations on a university campus, chamber of commerce, private school, community college foundation, a national nonprofit, national research institute, and a children’s museum. She is active in the community through her volunteer work at the Oregon Coast Military Museum and Florence Chamber of Commerce among others. Ann is a Board Member for the Oregon Museums Association.
Ann’s husband Terry is a Retired United States Coast Guard Chief Warrant Officer. Ann’s father, Robert Thompson (formerly a Postmaster in Veneta, Oregon) was in the Navy and her grandfather and two uncles served in the Army.
