4th of July Celebration

Join the Museum team in commemorating both the anniversary of the Nation's founding and the creation of the Museum. Enjoy family activities, talk to local veterans, and enjoy a free community barbecue. This year’s event will be one to behold as a variety of organizations are joining the festivities this year. The parking lot will be filled with a wide variety of booths, exhibits, informational displays, traveling exhibits of military items, military vehicles, and tons of activities for families and kids to enjoy. Our Board of Directors will also be Barbequing hamburgers and hotdogs to raise donations for the Museum; drinks will be available to purchase. 

Admission to the Museum’s Exhibition Hall will be FREE to the public throughout the event.

There will also be a variety of items, gift packages, and experiences raffled off for $1 per ticket or 6 for $5 from local businesses and organizations. A limited ticket raffle for a ride in the Aeroledgends Stearman “Kaydet” Bi-Plane is also being held for $5 per ticket; tickets are available NOW at the Museum. The “Lighthouse Package” is a $250 value and will take you along the coastline, observing many iconic sites from the air as you learn local history and see our local beauty from the sky.

Event Information:

Date: July 1st (Saturday), 2023 at the Museum [2145 Kingwood St.]

Starts at 10:00 a.m. with an opening ceremony and Color Guard Presentation

Barbeque starts serving at 11:30 a.m., Closing will be at 4:00 p.m.

A shuttle will be provided for parking to allow for more displays and groups to be present at the event.
