Oregon Coast Military Museum Elects Osborne to Board

At its January Board meeting, the Oregon Coast Military Museum elected Dee Osborne to its position vacated by the expired term of long-time former Board member Tom Benedict. “Dee brings not just a lot of business sense to our Board, but also a great deal of community sense” stated Executive Director Cal Applebee. “I have worked with her in both professional and community service roles and look forward to working with her again.” He added.

Osborne, a native of Florence, has been with Banner Bank since 1987 and currently serves as Vice President and Branch Manager of both Florence and Mapleton branches. She has served the non-profit community in the past with organizations such as Rotary, Soroptimist, Home Builders Assn. and Western Lane Community Foundation. She currently serves on the boards of both the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the Peace Harbor Peace Health Foundation.

“My father was in the Navy during Korean war and have a son that was in the Marines. Two of my nephews have served overseas in the military in recent years. I feel the mission of the Oregon Coast Military Museum is important to our community, and I want to be sure it is sustained.” Osborne commented.
