The Oregon Coast Military Museum held its annual elections at its December monthly meeting and the following were elected as officers: original Board member Tim Sapp of TR Hunter was elected President; long-time board member Gary Cannon was elected as Vice President; Ann Dowdy was elected as Secretary; and Shelly Medeiros was elected as Treasurer. In addition, Gary Cannon, Ann Dowdy and Wayne Sharpe were re-elected to serve additional two-year terms, and Brian Barnard of Florence Grocery Outlet was elected to his first term on the board.
The Board consists of eleven elected positions and one ex-officio position. One position on the board remains open. Parties interested in serving on the board can find an application on the Museum’s website. The Museum’s mission is “To Honor Our Veterans by Educating our Public”
