Wayne Sharpe - Board Member
Our founding board member, Wayne Sharpe, has been a resident of Florence, Oregon since 1992. Wayne is originally from the state of New York and a graduate of Trinity Bible College located in Ellendale, North Dakota where he earned a B.A. degree in Ministerial Education.
Wayne proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps from 1970 to 1972. Three of his four children have also served our great nation. Wayne served in the ministry for several years before moving to Florence and continues to serve as an Elder in his local church. Currently, he is a morning show host and sales manager for Coast Radio Broadcasting KCST/KCFM and hosts the Morning Show Monday through Friday. Wayne is also an active participant in supporting the local community. Over the years, he has volunteered to assist the Florence Food Share Board and the Siuslaw Community Health Improvement Committee and is currently on the City of Florence's Budget Committee. Furthermore, Wayne was nominated as President of Rotary and is also the founding board member of the Veterans Parade Committee of Florence and of The Oregon Coast Military Museum. Wayne has served as President of the Military Museum and has been an active board member since it's inception.
Wayne is very enthusiastic and delighted about his involvement with the Oregon Coast Military Museum. We pride ourselves in commitment to our veterans and strive to ensure that future generations will understand the freedoms they appreciate today.
