COAST GUARD APPRECIATION DINNER

On the evening of Oct 7, 2016, Florence held its first Coast Guard Appreciation Dinner, a semi-formal affair at the Florence Events Center. Hosted by Mayor Joe Henry and the Oregon Coast Military Museum, the program included the station’s color guard team, an upscale banquet, live music, speakers and dancing. Speakers for the event were Florence Mayor Joe Henry, CMDR Charles Guerrero from Sector North Bend, SCPO Tim Tregoning from the Suislaw River Coast Guard Station and Retired Brigadier General Norm Hoffman, who is also the Flotilla 52 Auxiliary Commander. The Master of Ceremonies was Wayne Sharpe, President of the Board of Directors for the Museum.
